What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), the postcode of the property, what kind of building it is, and what has prompted your enquiry. You can add anything else you think we should know.
We use this only to understand your enquiry and respond to it. The property details let us tell you quickly whether it is the kind of work we do, rather than taking up your time on a call. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch.
When you call or email us
We keep a record of enquiries so we can follow them up and so we know which enquiries came from advertising. We do not record calls.
When you browse the site
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads record how you arrived here and which pages you looked at. This tells us which searches bring people to the site. Our lawful basis is consent — nothing is stored until you accept, and you can change your mind at any time.

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies until you accept them. If you accept:

Who else sees your data
- Netlify hosts this website and processes enquiry form submissions on our behalf.
- Zoho provides our email, so enquiries arrive in a Zoho mailbox.
- Google provides Analytics and Ads, and receives website usage data if you have accepted cookies.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else without asking you first. If your enquiry turns out to be an installation job rather than design work, we may suggest a contractor — but we will not pass your details on unless you ask us to.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Enquiries that become projects: for the life of the project and 6 years afterwards, to meet our professional and tax obligations.
- Website analytics: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. You can also withdraw consent for cookies at any time using the button above.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
